Proud Legacy: A Heritage of Service

In 1980, our family established Eastern Nepal’s first tourist-class hotel, setting the benchmark for hospitality in the region. Over the years, this legacy expanded with the creation of Valentine’s Bakery Café in 2000, the first café in Biratnagar. This café not only introduced a new dining culture but also sowed the seeds for a deeper exploration into coffee. After years of serving international brands like Lavazza, we dreamed of creating something uniquely Nepali.

Our story is a tribute to a legacy that began with our father’s vision of creating spaces that bring people together. From building Eastern Nepal’s first hotel to establishing the first café in Biratnagar, our family has always been committed to innovation and community development. Even when faced with challenges—like the loss of our father in 2013 and the eventual closure of our beloved hotel—we stayed true to the values he instilled: perseverance, service, and the desire to give back to our homeland.
Today, Baari Coffee stands as a symbol of this legacy—a blend of history, innovation, and a promise to carry forward our family’s mission of enriching lives. Every cup of Baari Coffee is a celebration of our journey, a taste of Nepal’s vibrant culture, and a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.

Our Farmers: The Heart of Baari Coffee
The soul of Baari Coffee lies in the hands of our dedicated farmers. Nestled in the lush hills of Ilam, Dadabazaar, and other Himalayan regions, these farmers cultivate our beans with passion and care. Using sustainable and organic farming methods, they grow coffee under the shade of native trees like lemon, orange, and avocado, preserving biodiversity and ensuring a rich, authentic flavor.
Despite challenges, our farmers are resilient and committed to their craft. We partner closely with them, providing fair wages and entrepreneurial training to empower their communities and foster economic growth. Their hard work and dedication not only produce world-class coffee but also contribute to a sustainable and prosperous future for Nepal.
Each cup of Baari Coffee carries the story of these farmers—people who pour their hearts into every bean, ensuring that every sip you take is a celebration of their efforts and the beauty of the Eastern Himalayas.
Baari Coffee isn’t just coffee; it’s a journey. Join us as we share the taste of Nepal with the world—one cup at a time.
